The National Transportation Safety Board is charged with determining the probable cause of transportation accidents and promoting transportation safety, and assisting victims of transportation accidents and their families.

The Honorable Robert Sumwalt has arranged to lead our group through the training facility.

AGENDA

9:30 – Arrival
9:45 – Introduction by Dr. Paul Schuda, Associate Managing Director NTSB Academy
10:30 – Hanger Visit
12:15 – Tours concludes between 11:30 - 12:15, depending on group size

The hanger has the wreckage of TWA800 and several other items of historical interest. We will also see how investigators are trained to recover and interpret the data from the flight data recorders.
