The Washington DC Branch of the Royal Aeronautical Society Transatlantic Leading Edge Award was inaugurated in 2012 and has honored some of the great leaders and influencers in aviation.

 The criteria for nomination and selection of award winners are as follows: Candidates must have made significant contributions to the US and European Aerospace Industry in the areas of Technology, Safety and transatlantic business development and policy.
